Operating Room/Surgery Whether a patient is anticipating complex surgery or a simple outpatient procedure, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance provides the exceptional level of care the South Bay and Harbor communities have come to expect from us — clinical excellence and sophisticated technology with a personal touch. In 2003, 140 cardiac surgeries were performed including Coronary Artery Bypass, MIDCAB, Off Pump, On Pump, and Valve Replacement. Other procedures included Pacemaker and AICD. |

Within this 28-bed unit are two dedicated Cardiovascular Surgery Suites. New equipment includes the GE Solar® 8000 colored hemodynamic patient monitoring system, Massimo technology for pulse oximetry, and a Sonosite 180 portable ultrasound system designed to have the image quality of larger systems but small enough to be hand-carried from bedside to bedside. |

Our 4th Medical Cardiology Unit now houses 33 private and one semi-private room. Upgraded technology includes the GE Marquette centralized monitoring system as well as the Zettler call light system which allows for a quicker response to patient needs. |
