Cardiology

Our Cardiology Department recently moved to the new Outpatient Diagnostic Center and now includes two dedicated rooms for stress treadmill tests, two rooms for Echo tests and two physician reading and interpretation stations.

Approximately 2,000 EKG recordings are performed each month at the hospital with about 1,000 of those performed in our Emergency Department. Physicians are now able to access those recordings through the GE Muse EKG system. The fully-digital system utilizes standard web technology providing the ability to access patient data from one of our two workstations in Cardiology, or remotely (from the physician’s office or home) through the internet. The in-house workstations also include a VCR/ Monitor within the workstation to allow access to a patient’s Echo at the same time. In addition, the GE Muse EKG system has a direct interface with the bedside monitors in ICU as well as our Meditech system.
