Our History

Founded in 1996, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Institute began when 27 physicians practicing independently in the community entered into a partnership with Little Company of Mary to create a not-for-profit medical foundation. As part of the partnership, each physician in the Medical Institute has committed to meeting the health needs of the community while embracing the Mission of the Sisters of Little Company of Mary.

The mission of Little Company of Mary and its affiliates is part of the larger mission of the Sisters of Little Company of Mary to make visible the healing presence of Jesus. Our mission embraces the care of the sick and the dying through the Catholic health ministry and meeting the health needs of our communities. We commit to caring for the whole person — physical, emotional and spiritual.

As part of this Mission, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Institute has also adopted the following Core Values:
