California Hospital Association has produced a series of public service announcements (PSAs) to educate Californians about the signs and symptoms of the H1N1 flu virus. Four 60-second television spots have been produced. One PSA is intended for parents of school-age children and another for adults. Spanish language versions of the spots also have been produced. When an individual has any concerns about patient care and safety in the hospital, that the hospital has not addressed, he or she is encouraged to contact the hospital’s management… if the concerns cannot be resolved through the hospital, the individual is encouraged to contact JCAHO and/or DHS.
